"S'cool Moves" Presented by Steve Piluso

Steve Piluso , the Keynote Speaker for our May Celebration, provided a lively and very participatory overview of the "S'cool Moves" program. S'cool Moves has been successfully implemented in schools across America, Canada, and Australia. It includes minute warm-up exercises to help school children refocus and stay on task, Focus Moves to address new PE standards, and Sensory Intervention Exercises that help to improve reading for children with auditory, visual, and vestibular issues. PDK members saw videos of school children performing the exercise sequences, and also tried some of the exercises, themselves. This learning strategy provides physical, mental, and emotional benefits for children, helping to improve behavior and academics in minutes a day.
